Glazed Blueberry Brownies

Glazed Blueberry Brownies

Fudgy chocolate brownies topped with a luscious blueberry glaze, combining rich chocolate with fruity sweetness for a perfect treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt unsalted butter. Stir in granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. While the brownies cool, puree fresh blueberries. Mix the puree with powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice until smooth.
  7. Once cooled, spread the blueberry glaze evenly over the brownies. Let it set for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Cool the brownies completely before glazing to avoid the glaze soaking into the brownies. Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen ones can be used if thawed and drained.
