Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow

This Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow recipe is a sweet, crunchy, and easy-to-make snack that combines the flavors of strawberry shortcake with the simplicity of a no-bake treat. Perfect for parties, gatherings, or a cozy night in!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups (150 grams) Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup (170 grams) white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon (14 grams) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (20 grams) freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons (16 grams) strawberry pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups (180 grams) powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Measure out 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate over the Rice Chex cereal. Use a spatula to gently toss and coat the cereal, being careful not to crush it.
  4. Crumble 1 cup of freeze-dried strawberries into small pieces and sprinkle them over the cereal. Add 2 tablespoons of strawberry pudding mix and toss everything together.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal to a plastic zip-top bag. Add 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar to the bag, seal it, and shake until the cereal is evenly coated.
  6. Spread the puppy chow out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let it cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

Use high-quality white chocolate for a smoother melt. Let the puppy chow cool completely to ensure the coating sets. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to a month.
